A sip of history
We have been growing grapes in Wexford since 2015. Ours is the largest vineyard in Ireland, with seven main varieties (white and red) that produce several tonnes of grapes per year.

With age-old knowledge, traditional techniques, and cutting-edge technology, we have been crafting unique wines since 2019. With a long-term commitment, our R&D department works with nine experimental varietals to pave the way to the future.
In addition, our project is led by the prestigious winemaker Santiago Jordi, President of the International Union of Oenologists (UIOE).

The wines we make are special. With their own, undeniable Irish character, they voice the spirit of their aromatic varietals, nuanced and enhanced by the climate of the region and the terroir of our vineyards.

Tradition and cutting-edge science
Our viticultural engineers have chosen the most suitable varietals and successfully adapted them to Wexford's climate and soil... Taking risks, innovating and working hard, we achieved the goal to grow the perfect ripened grapes... but the work goes far beyond the vineyard.

In The Old Roots R&D laboratory, a team of the world's leading specialists in extreme viticulture and cutting edge winemaking has developed exclusive techniques and tools that allow us to reach the highest levels of quality. This way, when the grapes arrive into the winery, they begin their journey to become the perfect wine in a process that is rooted in the millenary tradition of Mediterranean winemakers while drawing on the limits of modern science.

Thanks to all this we can proudly say that we craft the finest Irish wine. Now it is time to fill the glass and share it with you.
